On this year’s E-world fair (16.-18. February) in Essen, SOKRATHERM presents the compact CHP unit type GG 237 in hall 2 on stand 505. This CHP type has continuously been developed since its market introduction during the EXPO 2000 world fair and is installed in over 160 CHP projects to date.
An especially remarkable project is the Energiebunker Hamburg which has been awarded with the European Solar Prize 2013 and the German TGA Award 2014. The GG 530 CHP plant installed in late 2013 by SOKRATHERM has recently been enlarged by a compact CHP unit type GG 237. The Energiebunker run by the local utilities provider Hamburg Energie produces power for Hamburg and heat for the surrounding district Weltquartier from solar energy, bio-methane and other sources.
The CHP type GG 237 exhibited at the fair produces 239 kW power and 372 kW heat from 669 kW natural gas. This way it achieves over 91 % total efficiency. The cogeneration unit is serially equipped with a solid industrial PC which can be intuitively operated via touchpanel. A secure internet access of the SOKRATHEM developed iPC control makes it possible not only to read all important operation data via desktop, laptop or smartphone 24/7 but also to remote control the plant. With this feature, all SOKRATHERM CHP units can be integrated into virtual power plants.
The SOKRATHERM sales engineers will be happy to discuss the possibilities to apply CHP units in customer projects. Fair visitors interested in meeting SOKRATHERM to discuss their project are welcome to send an E-Mail wih header „E-World invitation“ and their full contact data to info|at|sokratherm.de for a free access invitation to the E-World fair. The tickets will be sent out in early february.
