Freie Universität (FU) Berlin
(1 x GG 50 + 3 x GG 140 + GG 237)

On two sites of the 30.000 students large Freie Universität (Free University or FU) Berlin, three SOKRATHERM CHP units started operation in early 2013 to reduce the CO2 emissions: Two compact CHP units type GG 140 at the veterinary medicine site in Dueppel and one compact CHP unit type GG 237 at the geological sciences site in Lankwitz. The internet based remote control with transfer of all operation data allows an analysis and optimization of the CHP operation. The full (German) article published in ‚Euro Heat and Power‘ edition 7-8 2013  can be dowloaded here.

After the article publication, two more sites of the FU Berlin were equipped with our compact CHP units: A GG 50 unit started operation in late 2014 in the campus building Kelchstrasse and a GG 140 unit was commissioned in the heating center for the Botanischer Garten in summer 2015.
