For special application cases – for example when the heating rooms are extremely small, hardly accessible or not existing – we offer our CHP units built in a weatherproof container or concrete space cell to be placed outside.
The container has a length of 20 feet (ca. 6m) at CHP units of the 50 and 100 kW class and 30 feet at larger CHP units. Its standard equipment lighting, cable racks and pipe fixtures is delivered as required by the project layout. Also extra high (e.g. for GG 530 installations) or double containers as the depicted 2 x FG 250 scheme are available.
We also offer to perform the full integration of gas, exhaust, heating, air IN/OUT and power inside the container – including an exhaust system reaching 1 m above the container roof. The design of the container regarding color, openings, tubing etc. is guided by the technical requirements and demands of the customer (see container examples).
As an alternative to the container we also offer the construction of a concrete room cell as a CHP plant building, as we did for example in the Früh Kölsch Brewery project. The erection of such a concrete room cell is depicted in a film by Hamburg Energie GmbH (in German) about a district heating project in Hamburg, for which we supplied a GG 140 compact CHP unit.
