The heating center of the „Seidenfäden“ housing quarter in Denzlingen (southwestern Germany) supplies roughly 300 appartments in 15 buildings constructed in 1972 and is indirectly owned by the residents. In 2018 the local power service company badenovaWÄRMEPLUS invested 1,7 Mio. EUR to transform it into a modern heat and power center: The heat transfer stations of the buidlings were overhauled, the fuel switched from oil to natural gas and our GG 260 unit installed. It produces 263 kW power and 380 kW heat with an efficiency of 92,8 % and can increase the heat production by up to 55 kW with its condensing heat exchanger. The power produced is sold exclusively to the residents.
The plant reduces the CO2 emissions by 270 kW, will be technically operated by badenova for 15 years and was inaugurated together with the mayor of Denzlingen (photo) in spring 2019.
