As one of the first CHP unit manufacturers, we could successfully finish the certification process of all our CHP units built in series by the BDEW technical guideline for the connection of power generating units to the medium-voltage network on 10th April 2015.
To do so, we have induced not only the examination of the CHP units‘ electric characteristics to obtain the standard unit certificate but have moreover induced further extensive measurements so the unit certificates can also serve the requirements to obtain the project specific plant certificates. These plant certificates are – additionally to the unit certificates – necessary when the connection capacity at the network connection point exceeds 1 MVA or the cable length between power producer and network connection point exceeds 2 km. The unit certificates issued by the DAkkS accredited certification authority M.O.E. GmbH are suitable without any restrictions also for these plant certifications.
Regarding the low voltage guideline all proof that our compact CHP units keep the requested electric characteristics have been yielded by the accredited institute DNV-GL in the year 2013.
The examination of the electric characteristics and the certification of power producing units feeding into the public network should serve the aim to secure a smooth network operation and reliable power supply when increasing amounts of power are fed into the network from decentral power producers. For our CHP units produced in series (34-532 kW for natural gas, sewage gas and biogas operation) all required proof is available. The certificates were handed over to us by the M.O.E. director Mr. Moeller at Hannover Hesse 2015.
